The only thing we truly have control over in life is our intentions. Whatever we want to get out of each and every day we have the power to pursue. If you want something enough; you will always find a way to get it. Here are some ways that you can use to ensure that every pursuit lives up to its full potential.

• Going into any situation make sure you know what you want to get out of it. You need to have a clear plan of how you are going to proceed in any situation.

• Always look for the good in people. If you set people up to fail, they probably will. If you always assume the worst about the people close to you, then you will push them away.

• Give everyone respect. This means everybody, not just the people that you like or who respect you. It is a good practice to forgive those who wrong you or offend you. Help people even if they would not help you.

• When you angry you should walk away from a situation until you have a chance to calm down. The other person you are interacting with is probably upset too and you should try to see things from their perspective. If you respect them and let them state their feelings they will be more likely to do the same for you.

• Take things slowly. Some projects take time to get them done the right way and that is okay. We live in a world where everything is in a rush. To get the most out of your work you sometimes have to dial it back a notch.

• You need to tell other people about your goals. They may help you and that is good; what is even better is if they hold you accountable. It is very easy to make excuses to yourself, but not so easy to all of the people who know about what you are trying to accomplish.

  1. These are good tips. The only thing I would add to them (and this is speaking to the point of the commenter above) is that you should not expect ALL these things to be doable at once. Sometimes, you just have to make the best out of a challenging situation. If this is the case – applying some (but not all) of the points above is a real accomplishment.

I love what you’re doing here. Keep it up!

  3. you know that should be that way for most of us, but everyone is different. Take a person for instance who has nothing but on-going problems with abusive people they are the ones who are going to least likey, respect others, no matter how hard they may try; believe in anyone especially if they have been lied to and let down by others. A positive attitude can only last so long, in a world filled with poverty, homelessness, depression and uncertainty and also with people who are backbiting, swindlers and users and abusers.

it’s like who can you begin to trust and believe in when there has been so much negative forces surrounding your atmosphere, that you can’t always stand being around anything other than nature and animals.
