thinking

Some of my most creative and successful ideas have come to me when I step away from my work, relax, and allow my mind to take me wherever it sees fit.  It’s a practice that I have grown accustomed to over a very long time.  I recall doing the same thing in University when trying to resolve a physics or math problem.  I’d close everything, go lie down, and a solution would come to me, simply by allowing myself time to clear my mind & think.

There are days where I do not even have a minute to waste.  I have things to do until the moment I crash into bed.  These days are usually not memorable and most of the time do not accomplish anything of major significance.  I am a firm believer that creativity and logic can be better conveyed to you via a calmer moment.  In such stressful days where everything is going at 100 miles per hour, it’s extremely rare that you will have a stroke of genius.

This is why you should always make the time to just think www.tadalafilfromindia.net.  A moment where you have no distractions, where you can take a few deep breaths and just drift into the deepest realms of your psyche.  This is a moment that you should not underestimate in its importance.  It can provide you wisdom, guidance, and solutions to your issues.

Some of my favorite methods to include such thinking into my schedule are taking a walk, riding a bicycle, and doing some exercise.  These types of activities can not only help you clear your mind and allow you a moment where you can do some critical thinking, but it can also help you when it comes to your health.  It’s pretty much killing two birds with one stone: you get your daily exercise & you have your moment to get lost in your thoughts.

I also enjoy meditation.  I can put on a soothing meditation cd and just let my mind guide me to a peaceful place.  Treat your mind like a muscle, because in a way, it is one.  Allow it to relax, heal, and rest.  Only then can it become stronger.

It can be difficult to find a moment of peace in a day where you have to rush to get work done, deal with your kids, have time for your friends, worry about eating & dinner, keep up with the news, & so on.  However, it’s not impossible.  Make sure to include in your schedule a mandatory time period to think.  Label it your “me time”.  Can be as little as 20-30 min.  This is a time where you can disconnect from the reality of every day life & just allow your mind to take over.  You will be pleasantly surprised at the amazing solutions, ideas, and answers that come to you.  Like I mentioned above, my best ideas did not come to me while at the office or at my desk.  They came to me while I was lying down on my bed, sitting on a park bench, or riding my bicycle.

Do you make time to think?
