I would like to wish all the readers of this blog a very happy new year and a safe and fun holiday season! A new year is always a wonderful starting point to begin a new journey with a clean slate. It’s time to look ahead and leave the past behind you. Whatever it may be that you would like to accomplish, now is the prime time to put the wheels in motion and never look back.
I know that 2008 was a very difficult year for lots of people. Some of you may have lost your job, some of you may have seen your business suffer, and some of you may have lost in the stock market. Now, we all keep hearing that these difficulties will continue throughout 2009, but I am here to tell you that you should not let this destroy you. Certainly, for the majority of us, some major lifestyle changes are in order, but view this as a temporary situation, and one that will eventually bring you back towards your goals. Believe that the sun always rises after the storm. The measure of a person is dictated not in a time of prosperity, but in a challenging time. Now is the time for you to step up to the plate and make the necessary sacrifices to get to where you want to be.
I know many of these decisions are tough, such as taking a lower paying job, shutting down a business, or having to sell your home. Know in your heart that this is not the end. It’s a setback. Learn from it, and become a stronger person for it. While we may not have any type of control over the economy and world affairs, we have control over our own existence. We cannot let this crush us. Let us be strong leaders for our kids and everyone else that depends on us and looks up to us.
On this note, I hope you all stick around in the coming year, and keep coming back because there are alot of exciting new projects and ventures that INeedMotivation will be dishing out. You can count on this blog to deliver you tools, tips, and motivation to help enrich your life for the better. I have always known of the importance of motivation, which is one of the main reasons I started this site, and I am particularly aware of the specific need for motivation especially in these highly testing times. This is why my main resolution for this year is to provide all you readers from around the globe the best information and resources so that you can make the most out of your own unique situation. Regardless of what happens in the markets, let’s all do our part and make 2009 a positive, memorable year!
