Some might say that using the Law of Attraction is like using the Law of Gravity. You do it effectively whether you want to or not!

But just as we might “use” the Law of Gravity by falling over a lot, perhaps you’re attracting the wrong sorts of things into your life. In which case the following tips will help you get more of what you want and less of what you don’t.

1 – Gratitude.

Look around you. What are you grateful for, right now? Your health? Your friends, family and loved ones? The material things that mean you don’t have to scratch out a living from the dirt like your not-so-distant ancestors?

Take time to count your blessings, and you’ll find that they multiply.

2 – Be Clear of Purpose and Conscience.

If the Law of Attraction gives you exactly what you focus on, no more and no less, then confusion and guilt will just breed confusion and guilt.

Be clear about what you want. Write it down if you have to, and ensure that it’s as unambiguous as possible.

Likewise, something that conflicts with your beliefs will never work. Run what NLP practitioners call an “ecology check” on your goals. Do they feel right? If not, what needs to happen for them to feel right?

For instance, if you don’t feel comfortable with the idea of being materially wealthy, would it be OK to be materially wealthy if that meant being able to donate time and money to a special charity?

3 – Note Down The Evidence.

Some people find that keeping a journal helps. Note down all the evidence that the Law of Attraction is working in your life, and refer to it often. Watch the evidence accumulate the more you look for it.

4 – Behave As If

It may be that the Law of Attraction sounds too much like magic to you, and that’s fine. Perhaps it’s nothing more than a metaphor for the fact that we tend to get what we focus on, in which case, you might as well focus on something positive.

Try behaving as if the Law of Attraction were true, and see what happens. At the very least, living with gratitude, clarity of purpose and conscience will make you a better human being.
