For the past couple of weeks, I have started to take Omega 3 fish oil supplements.  I had read about how it can help with focusing and concentration among many health benefits.  I can attest that I have definitely noticed improvements with my focus.  I wear many hats running my business and it can get challenging to focus on one thing at a time.  I have found that with the fish oil supplements, my mind feels “clearer”.

There is quite a list of health benefits that Omega 3 fish oil can provide you with.  I have tried to pinpoint the most prevalent ones:

– May help reduce risk of coronary heart disease
– Helps circulatory problems, varicose veins
– Stimulates blood circulation & reduce blood pressure
– Reduce risk of secondary and primary heart attacks
– Some benefits with arthritis
– Helpful in cases of depression & anxiety
– Possible anti-cancer effects (breast, colon, prostate)
– Improves thickness of carotid arteries
– Improved immune system in infants
– Significant help in children with learning & behavioral issues
– Pain relief & anti-inflammatory
– Aids in the maintenance of joint health
– Improved memory, recall, focus, and reasoning
– Helps with ADD & ADHD as well as OCD

It is usually recommended to take the supplements as you are eating, so 1-3 times per day with your main meals would be a good rhythm.  Of course, you should always check with your doctor before embarking on this.  I find that it is a very good idea, especially for people that do not eat a lot of fish in their diet.  Such people can lack in Omega 3 which can have consequences on their health eventually.

I would highly recommend it to anyone that leads a busy lifestyle, and that uses their mind significantly such as students and people that work on a computer.  Plus, along with the added concentration benefits, it provides you with a variety of added health benefits as listed above.  This supplement can definitely be an extra “ace in the hole” as you are geared towards succeeding with your goals 😉

    Omega 3 is great for your health. It can help with concentration as you attest. The great thing is that it can help with all those others health benefits you included. We get way too much omega 6 in our diets and we can really benefits from increasing our omega 3 and decreasing our omega 6. This can help with chronic inflammation. So get better concentration but also possibly reap all those other benefits.
